Kambakht Ishq: HJS presents memorandum to Mumbai Police Commissioner

July 7, 2009

Ashadh Pournima (Gurupournima)
Mocking of holy Hindu Mantra in anti-Hindu movie ‘Kambakt Ishq’!

Mumbai: Hindi film ‘Kambakht Ishq’ is deliberately mocking the holy Hindu mantra ‘Om Mangalam Garudadhvajam ’. Shri Shivaji Vatkar convener of Hindu Janjagruti Samiti for Mumbai, Thane and Raigad District and Sau. Varsha Thakar met Mumbai Police Commissioner D. Shivanandan and Additional Commissioner for law and order, Shri K.L. Prasad to submit a memorandum soliciting to pressurize the Central Film Censor Board to take serious action against this movie. The Commissioner told Shri Ramanand, additional CP of special branch to take action in this case. Shri Ramanand promised to submit a report after watching the CD of this controversial song.

This memorandum also states that, to delete controversial part in any movie is a job of Central Film Censor Board, but they refused to take any action even after receiving the Samiti’s complaint.

The police forces should be utilized for the safety of the public and to maintain law and order; but because of this song that is mocking Hindu mantra, police are now busy in protecting the theatres. This is causing unnecessary pressure on the police force. To avoid this needless pressure, police should ask the Central Film Censor Board to take action and delete this controversial part of the movie. Along with this memorandum, a copy of the complaint which was earlier submitted to the Censor Board and a CD of the controversial scenes has been submitted by the HJS.

Objectionable song deleted after Shiv Sena’s warning in Kopargaon

Kopargaon (Maharashtra): Hindi film ‘Kambakht Ishq’ which makes mockery of Hindu ‘mantras’ was released in ‘Sudesh’ theatre yesterday. Vilas Girame, manager of this theatre, however, deleted the song after a warning was received by him from Shri. Bharat More, deputy city chief of Shiv Sena. (Congratulations to Shri. Bharat More, deputy city chief of Shiv Sena for taking such prompt action against those hurting religious sentiments of Hindus! – Editor SP)

He also warned that, in future, if there is denigration of objects worshipped by Hindus in any film, then it should not be released. He informed that legal advice was being sought to take action against Akshay Kumar, the hero of this film. Henceforth, there would be a ban on sale of VCDs of such films that ridicule Hindu Dharma and Deities etc. (Hindus must note that, other than Shiv Sena, no other powerful pro-Hindu organization or political party would take any action in this regard! – Editor SP)

Azad Maidan police station Order to delete the objectionable part

 July 6, 2009

Ashadh Shuddha Chaturdashi

Police attitude – One law for the area where opposition is likely from

Devout Hindus against the mockery of their ‘Faith’ and another law for other places!

Mumbai: There is an order given to the theatre managers of, ‘Metro’, ‘Sterling’ and New Excelxior’ theatres that come under the jurisdiction of Azad Maidan police station to delete the objectionable part in the Hindi film ‘Kambakht Ishq’ in which there is a deliberate mockery of Hindus’ Holy Mantra. The police also warned them about their responsibility for any untoward incidences. This order was given after receiving complaint from Hindu Janjagruti Samiti (HJS) in the police station.

Inspector of Azad Maidan police station contacted the theatre managers and instructed them, “Either delete the objectionable song and the mockery of the Hindu mantra that is played in the background from the film or let it be on silent mode during its screening. If it is not possible to delete that part then stop screening of the film”. If you hurt the feelings of the citizens and if they react to that violently, then the responsibility would be totally yours. We have taken this step in order to maintain law and order. Your action should not hurt their feelings.” Shri. Prasad Mankar, Sou. Varsha Thakar had lodged a complaint in Colaba police station. The police had discussion with the manager of ‘Regal’ theatre. The manager told the police that only the producer and distributor have the right to do so. (Would the manager have dared to answer in the same way if feelings of Muslims and Christians were hurt like this? Hindus do not react as Muslims and Christians even if they are hurt; hence nobody is scared to hurt their feelings. Should the Hindus too start to react as the Muslims and Christians now? – Editor SP) “I shall discuss the matter with them and let you know”, said the manager.

HJS lodges complaint with police to impose ban on ‘Kambakht Ishq’

July 5, 2009

Ashadh Shuddha Trayodashi

Mockery of Hindu ‘mantras’ in “Kambakht Ishq”

Hindus must realize that strong pro-Hindu Organizations and political parties would do nothing in such matters !

Mumbai: There is a deliberate mockery of the Hindu mantra ‘Om Mangalam Garud-dhvajam‘ throughout the Hindi film ‘Kambakht Ishq. Shri. Prasad Mankar, Shri. Abhishek Murkute, Miss Anjali Karande and Mrs. Janhavi Bhardike, members of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) lodged a complaint with the Shivaji Park police station for banning of the film. This film is being shown in ‘Plaza’ Theatre which is within the jurisdiction of this police station.

Many devout Hindus are also registering their protest on the cell phone no. 9821127521 of Mr. Ahuja, the chief distributor at ‘Eros International’ company which is distributing this film, demanding to stop such denigration. Earlier, a similar complaint was lodged with the Bhoiwada police Station. Within its jurisdiction is ‘Chitra’ Theatre, showing the said film. Bhoiwada police station had contacted Shri. Sawant, the manager of Chitra Theatre and asked him to delete the objectionable song.

Although the manager informed the police that the song was removed from the film, few devout Hindus, who had gone to watch the film at ‘Chitra’ theatre, found that the song was not deleted. (Such Hindus are the real foes of Hindus! Why should such persons be extended help, during the time of crisis, by Dharma i.e. God? – Editor SP) It was also observed that the song was played in the background of this film quite often.

Objectionable scenes from the movie

  1. When the song is played in a pub and disco, actress Kareena Kapur says, “What an awful song! Stop it!”
  2. Actor Akshay Kumar is able to hear this mantra and on hearing it he starts damaging things in his house. He also refers to it as ‘This bloody mantra!’
  3. In one indecent scene in the film, this song is played in the background.
  4. In a wedding ceremony, Akshay Kumar addresses a Christian Father as ‘Pundit’.
  5. This song which is based on ‘Om Mangalam Garuda-dhvajam’ mantra is played throughout the film.

Hindus stop the show of ‘Kambakht Ishq’ for 30 minutes in Panvel

July 4, 2009

Ashadh Shuddha Dwadashi
Devout Hindus stop the show of ‘Kambakht Ishq’ for 30 minutes since the objectionable portion was not deleted

In most of the scenes in this film, there is mockery of “Om Mangalam Garud-dhvajam

Panvel (Maharashtra): A Hindi film titled ‘Kambakht Ishq’ starring Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapur was released today. A show of this film was stopped by devout Hindus for 30 minutes at ‘Cineraj’ Theatre with the help of the police since the indecent objectionable song making mockery of Hindu mantra was not deleted from the film. The show was re-started after deletion of the said song from the film.

Tight security by the police and Notice-boards informing deletion of the song displayed outside ‘Cineraj’ Theatre

(Congratulations to devout Hindus for taking lawful action against the mockery of matters in which Hindus have immense faith! Why such action is not taken by strong pro-Hindu and political parties? – Editor SP)

Yesterday, senior police inspector, Suresh Bhosale from Panvel police station had instructed managers S/Shri. Prakash Patil and Vijay Agrawal of ‘Rupali’ and ‘Cineraj’ theatres respectively to delete an entire song from the film ‘Kambakht Ishq’ as it ridiculed Hindu ‘mantras’. Both of them had agreed to do so.

Shri. Sachin Kaulkar, a representative of ‘Dainik Sanatan Prabhat’ and Shri. Ahitosh Kamble of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) watched the 12.30 show of the film at Cineraj theatre. They observed that after the interval, the sacred Hindu ‘mantra’ ‘Om Mangalam Garudadvajam…..’ was ridiculed and converted into a song set to western music. (Hindus, who although promised to delete the song when they were with the police, did not keep their promise; such Hindus are the real foes of Hindus. – Editor SP) Therefore, they asked Vijay Agrawal, the manager of ‘Cineraj’ and his assistant Manoj Yadav to stop the show of the film immediately.

As members of the audience realised that the show was stopped, they raised a commotion. (Lack of knowledge on matters related to Dharma and blind following of western culture have made Hindus lose their respect towards Hindu Dharma ! – Editor SP) After 30 minutes of the break as the film was re-started, members of audience started to whistle.

Tight police security!

Anand Parkar, a police official from the Intelligence Bureau at CBD Belapur, Satish Pawar, police inspector attached to Panvel Police Station and police constable, Gangadhar Kawade provided security along with 4 policemen at Cineraj theatre to avoid any untoward decision.

In most of the scenes in the film, there is mockery of the mantra ‘Om Mangalam Garuda-dhvajam’ and film is full of vulgarity

Notice boards were displayed outside ‘Cineraj’ Theatre informing people about deletion of a song from a Hindi film ‘Kambakht Ishq’ due to its ridiculing sacred Hindu mantra. The duration of this song is 6-7 minutes. In this theatre, the song was shortened to 2-1/2 minutes. It is also shown that whenever actor Akshay Kumar is able to hear the ‘mantra’, he becomes frenetic and starts breaking things in his house. Also, it is referred to as ‘This bloody mantra’ in the film. There is absolutely no relevance of this mantra to the story of the film and they have been unnecessarily included. The mantra is sung not only in a song but is also used as background music. This film is full of vulgarity.

July 1, 2009

Ashadh Shuddha Dashami

Anti-Law police giving unwarranted advice instead of taking action as per the law!

Mangaon (Maharashtra): Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) filed a case against the film ‘Kambakt Ishque’ in Mangaon (District Raigad) for denigrating the Hindu religious Mantras. The representation of the case was accepted by Inspector Arvind Parulekar.
“If this complaint was given to Collector, Governer of the District or Film Sensor Board then it would have been proper”, said Shri. Parulekar. (What is the use of such police who instead of having the authority as per Section 295 to take action on the complaint against those hurting Hindus religious feelings giving unwarranted advice! – Editor)

Thereafter he was told how the Inspector in Panvel had stopped the screening of the anti-Dharma film ‘ Gallit Gondhal, Dillit Mujra’.  Anti-Hindu Film Censor board supports defamatory ‘Kambakht Ishq’

June 29, 2009

Ashadh Shuddha Ashtami
Mumbai: A memorandum was submitted by Hindu Janajagurti Samiti (HJS) on 24th June 2009 against anti-Hindu Hindi film ‘Kambakht Ishq’. When Shri. Shivaji Vatkar, the district-coordinator of HJS for Mumbai, Thane and Raigad districts contacted Vinayak Azad, the zonal officer of Film Censor Board, he informed Shri. Vatkar that no action was proposed to be taken against the above film. (In similar case where Muslims or Christians would have claimed that their religious sentiments were hurt, would Azad have shown such daring to answer them in this manner? And even if he had, would Muslims and Christians have tolerated it? – Editor SP)

Shri. Vinayak Azad told Shri Vatkar, “The ‘mantras’ have been used in the film during the scene of a wedding ceremony and since it is wedding ceremony, people have been shown singing and dancing. I am also a Hindu (Only being born as a Hindu is of no use. If Azad was a true Hindu, he would have taken action on his own! – Editor SP) It is not the intention to hurt religious sentiments of anyone. (Intention is there or not is besides the point but it is the truth that religious feelings of Hindus have been hurt. Azad should not, therefore, support anti-Hindus by making such statements! – Editor SP)

Shri. Vatkar told him that Hindu Dharma, deities, mantras are always used in films to create humor. In case of a Marathi film, ‘Gallit Gondhal Dillit Mujara’, the Board had advised that there was no denigration of deities but HJS had staged agitation and compelled the producers and distributors of the film to omit the objectionable scenes and dialogues. This indicates that the film had hurt religious sentiments of Hindus. The Film Censor Board takes such decision only in matters pertaining to Hindus.

When there was just a sentence said by film actor Shah Rukh Khan regarding Prophet Mohammad, the Court, police and Censor Board had immediately taken a note of the same. Mr. Azad said, “We have re-considered your complaint regarding the film ‘Kambakht Ishq’ and found nothing objectionable in the film. Cancellation of certificate of the film issued for its release or omission of objectionable portion, does not fall within the purview of the Censor Board.” Devout Hindus are lodging complaints with the police at various places and they are also going to lodge complaint with the District Collectors seeking justice.

Shiv Sena also participates in HJS drive!

Complaints lodged with police stations in Mumbai and Thane

HJS has lodged complaints with various police stations in Mumbai and Thane districts against the film ‘Kambakht Ishq’ for making mockery of Hindus’ religious ‘Mantras’ in the film.

Dinesh Warang, its members were present on the occasion when the complaint was lodged with Pantnagar police station. Police Inspector, Shri. Suryavanshi accepted the complaint and promised to consider the matter. At Bhoiwada, Shri. Prasad Mankar, Shri. Sanjay Karale, Shri. Gangadhar Kawali, Shri. Dnyaneshwar Nare, Shri. Ganesh Dukhande, Shri. June 26, 2009

Ashadh Shuddha Chaturthi

Mumbai: A Hindi film titled ‘Kambakht Ishq’ will be released tomorrow with Akshay kumar and Kareena Kapur in the lead roles. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has started agitations against this film for making mockery of Hindu ‘mantras’ in the film. Under this HJS campaign, complaints were lodged at Chiranagar Police Station, Ghatkopar, Marine Drive Police Station and social service branch.

In the picturization of the song, a young woman has been shown dancing in short clothes making indecent gesticulations. This has hurt religious sentiments of Hindus and HJS has started an agitation against such outrageous mockery.

HJS demands action against the film ‘Kambakht Ishq’

June 25, 2009

Ashadh Shuddha Trutiya

Mumbai: A film titled ‘Kambakht Ishq’ starring Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapur in the lead roles will be released on coming Friday. The film has a song in which some Hindu ‘mantras’ have been converted into a song and set to western music. In the picturization of the song, few young women are shown in tight clothes dancing to the tune of this song making indecent gesticulations. In this manner, the song makes disgraceful mockery of ‘Mantra’s revered by all Hindus. Members of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) submitted a memorandum to the zonal officer of Central Film Censor Board, Vinayak Azad for omission of the song from the film.

A delegation of HJS with its members Mrs. Varsha Thakar, Manali Salgaonkar and Mr. Milind Poshe called on Mr. Azad and submitted the memorandum with a demand to take immediate action. The members also made Mr. Azad listen to the song. The song starts with “Om Mangalam Come on in love, Om Mangalam coming in love.” Thus ‘Om’, the ‘Beej Mantra’ has been ridiculed whereas in the song, there are ‘mantras’ like “Om Mangalam Bhagawan Vishnum, Mangalam Garud-dhvajam, Mangalam Pundarikaksham, Mangalayton Hari”. The names of deities have been used in outrageous manner. The delegation convinced Azad that there was deliberate mockery of Hindu ‘mantras’ and deities when he responded positively.

Devout Hindus have been registering their protests at the Central Film Censor Board’s Mumbai office on 022-23625770.

Holy Mantra mocked in the film ‘Kambakht Ishq’!

22 Jun 2009

Jyeshtha Amawasya

Mumbai: A song based on Hindus’ auspicious Mantra ‘Hare Krushna Hare Ram’ in film ‘Bhul Bhulaiyya’ was shot in a vulgar way . When Hindus reacted to that then it was changed. Despite this without learning a lesson from the past experience, they have again made mockery of the Mantra, ‘Om Mangalam Garud Dhvajam’ by shooting it in very vulgar way in the new film ‘Kambakht Ishq’, starring Akshay Kumar acting in it. They have mocked at very auspicious Mantra in Hindu Dharma. (Shame on Producer, director and actors for denigrating Hindus’ auspicious Mantra again and again. Would they dare to denigrate other religions Faith like this? O, Hindus ask the Producer, director and actors to clarify on the matter and compel them to delete the song. They would not do such things again. Teach them such a lesson that they would never dare to venture upon such denigration henceforth! – Editor SP)

Now a days the advertisement of the film is telecast again and again on television. In this song young girls are dancing dressed in short clothes. This Mantra, which is recited by many Hindus, is presented in the form of sound on musical instruments. Such denigration of Mantras which are recited by Hindus due to their faith in them are used often by the film world in order to get publicity. This is quite intolerable. This kind of mockery is ever increasing as far as films are concerned.

Subject: Denigration of Shloka “Mangalam Bhagawan Vishnu . . .” in the promo of your new film “Kambakht Ishq” may invite legal action
To: [email protected]

Sir,

We have seen the promo of your new film “Kambakht Ishq” in which the voice-over in the back ground says that “Every bachelor hates this wedding tune”. The “tune” in question being in fact the shloka “Mangalam Bhagawan Vishnu . . .” eulogising Lord Visnu.By saying that every bachelor hates it you have, in effect, said that every bachelor hates eulogy to Lord Vishnu.

This is denigration of Sanatan Vaidic Hindu Dharma and hurts the sentiments of Dharma-loving Hindus.

We, therefore, urge you to withdraw this promo immediately and issue a public apology to Dharma-loving Hindus. Failure to do so on your part will be interpreted by us as your insensitivity and deliberate intention to hurt the sentiments of  Dharma-loving Hindus and will force us to seek legal redressal. We will also be forced to launch a non-violent and peaceful yet highly effective public campaign against your film company and call for boycot of your films which will adversely affect your business interests.

We sincerely hope (and pray to Bhagawan Vishnu) that wiser counsel will prevail and you will retract your Dharma-virodhi action immediately. We also seek forgiveness from His Supremely Compassionate Self for the indiscetion that has happened.

Yours sincerely,
Arvind Desai
