Proposed Ram Mandir in Ayodhya

Prayagaraj – Even after the judgement by the High Court, Allahabad, which ruled in favour of the existence of Shriram temple on the disputed land in Ayodhya, the Congress led Union Government overlooked the issue. Therefore, this issue will now be resolved in the parliament instead of in the court of law. Hence, the government should now enact a law for the birth-place of Shriram on the 70 acres of land by respecting the religious sentiments of 85 crores of Hindus in the nation. It should be passed by all the political parties; otherwise, a huge public agitation will be undertaken all over the country on this issue. A resolution to this effect was passed in the Central Guidance Committee meeting of Vishva Hindu Parishad held in Shri Rasik Baba camp, in Kumbh city. On this occasion, total 30 High Priests of Dharma, Saints, and Sages were present.

Addressing a press conference after this meeting, the President of VHP Shri. Ashok Singhal said, "For Shriram temple, we do not take any specific political party or leader for granted. Congress also should take lead for it. Saints only had established an organisation for Shriram temple in 1993. Saints and Sages only will establish an organisation now also, and it will be the largest ever."

Opinion about Shri. Narendra Modi

In this meeting, no reaction was expressed on the candidature of Shri. Narendra Modi for the post of the Prime Minister, but in the morning session of the meeting, Shri. Ashok Singhal’s remark that the popularity of Shri. Narendra Modi is greater than that of Pandit Jawaharalal Nehru became a topic of avid discussions. BJP M.P. Swami Adityanath while speaking to reporters after the conclusion of the above meeting also reacted that the popularity of Shri. Narendra Modi is much more, and his leadership is strong. Few Saints present in the meeting also endorsed candidature of Shri. Narendra Modi while speaking with the reporters. Therefore, the visit of Shri. Narendra Modi in Kumbh city on 12th February has aroused large curiosity.
