Mumbai: A representation was submitted recently on behalf of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) to District Collector (Suburbs) Nirmal Deshmukh demanding prevention of denigration of our National Flags. The members of HJS viz. Mr. Parab, Mr. Mahesh Pedanekar, Mr. Prakash Karandikar, Mr. Simit Sarmalkar etc. were present on the occasion. HJS has been carrying on this drive for the last 8 years under which activities like its members collecting the flags thrown on the roads, creating awareness to prevent their denigration, giving lectures in schools and colleges on the subject, submitting representations, lodging complaints with the police against the offenders etc. are undertaken. The District Collector Nirmal Deshmukh was explained details of HJS drive when he said that their efforts were laudable and due publicity would be given to the drive.

Amravati: It has been observed that use of plastic National Flag has been reduced over a period of time due to continuous movement by HJS. While submitting memorandum to The Mayor and the District Collector, many devout Hindus from the organisations like HJS, Dharmashakti Sena, Sanatan Sanstha and other organisations were present.

Nandurbar: Representation was submitted by HJS members along with devout Hindus to Dy. District Collector.

Chopda (Dist. Jalgaon): Memorandum for preventing denigration of National Flag was submitted by HJS members and many other devout Hindus to Tehsildar, Police Stations in the City and all the Schools.
