HJS movement to stop denigration of ‘National Flag’

Representation submitted to Resident District Collector at Yeotmal

Yeotmal (Maharashtra): On the Independence Day and Republic Day, mainly plastic flags are used which are found on the roads and gutters after hoisting ceremony resulting in its denigration. HJS has undertaken a drive to stop denigration of flags and in this connection, a representation was submitted to Resident District Collector Borgaonkar. HJS members viz. Ravi Deshpande, Milind Saraf, Mrs. Sunita Khade, Mrs. Bhagmare were present on the occasion.

HJS has been undertaking this campaign for the last 8 years under which it collects discarded flags from the roads, make an appeal to people to stop its denigration, submit representations, create awareness among students, lodge complaint with the police to stop denigration and make an appeal through the medium of newspapers.

Memorandum submitted to Dy. Tehsildar and Superintendent of Police (SP) at Pali (Dist. Raigad)

Pali (Maharashtra): Memorandum was submitted on behalf of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) to stop insult of National Flag. It was submitted to Dy. Tehsildar D. R. Patil in the presence of Mr. Rajendra Raut, the taluka-chief of Shiv Sena, Mr. Sunil Dandekar, city-President of Pali for BJP and Mrs. Sangita Khodagale, member of Raidag District Peace Committee. A copy of the memorandum has been handed over in the office of the Taluka Police Station which was accepted by SP P. R. Jadhav.

The response received from the people to join the signature drive was very good. Many devotees who had come to Ballaleshwar Temple read the memorandum and put their signatures. Mr. Rajendra Raut said that any campaign undertaken in the interest of Nation and Dharma would have his support. Mrs. Sangita Khodagale took special initiative in submitting the memorandum.
