HJS organizes program to commemorate 350th Martyr Day of ‘Naraveer Baji Prabhu and Veer Shiva Kashid’

Malkapur (Maharashtra): Hindus must take inspiration from the valour shown by ‘Naraveer Baji Prabhu Deshpande and Veer Shiva Kashid’. When the identity with regard to the Nation, Dharma and Deities is awakened, things which earlier seem to be difficult; start looking simple. Hindus should, therefore, try to kindle the flame of these identities. Let us, on the occasion of the Martyr Day of these brave men, make a resolve that we will not sit quietly till Hindu Nation is established. The above appeal was made by Mr. Ramesh Shinde, the spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) for the States of Maharashtra and Gujarat. He was speaking in a program held on 27th July to commemorate 350th Martyr Day of ‘Naraveer Baji Prabhu and Veer Shiva Kashid’.

Mr. Jayawantrao Katkar, the Dy. District-chief of Shiv Sena said, “All of us must remember that today we can live as Hindus only because of the valour shown by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and his army (mawlas). It will be a true obeisance to these brave men if Hindus always remain united and alert for the protection of Dharma. Mr. Anand Kahsid, the 14th descendant of Shiva Kashid said that a Nation gives its people everything and therefore, people should sacrifice every thing for the protection of Nation.

HJS pays obeisance in ‘Pawankhind’

In the morning, obeisance was paid on behalf of HJS at ‘Pawankhind.’ Mr. Ramesh Shinde performed the ‘puja’ of the memorial of ‘Narveer Bajiprabhu’ at ‘Pawankhind’ by garlanding the memorial, slogans were raised to acclaim Chhtrapati Shivaraya, Narveer Bajiprabhu and Veer Shiva Kashid. Many pro-Hindu organizations and Shivaji-devotees took part in the celebration. HJS has started commemoration since the last year.

‘Palakhi’ function in Malkapur

After paying obeisance in ‘Pawankhind’, a procession of ‘palakhi’ was taken out in Malakapur to remind people of the bravery of ‘Narveer’. The ‘puja’ of the ‘palakhi’ was performed by the Mayor of Malkapur, Mr. Shamrao Karande, Mr. Ramesh Shinde and Mr. Jayawantrao Katkar. The procession started from Sree Vitthal Mandir going through different parts of the town like municipality, Bhatgalli, Sree Ganapati Mandir, Main Road, Mangalwar Peth etc. returned to Sree Vitthal Mandir. Many devotees and municipal councilors performed ‘pujan’ of the ‘palakhi’. Slogans were raised on the victory of ‘Hindutva’ followed with guidance at Sree Vitthal Mandir.

1. More than 300 devout Hindus participated in the ‘palakhi’ procession despite heavy rains and attended the guidance.
2. There was some problem with the mike and the program was held up for a while but nobody from the audience got up till the end of the program.
3. The program was concluded with singing of ‘Vande Mataram’
