Avoid use of Tricolour made of plastic, says Centre

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has fought for years against use of plastic for making national flag. This advisory by centre can be called as outcome of efforts taken up by HJS ! – Editor, Hindujagruti

The Union Home Ministry on Wednesday issued a fresh advisory to states and Union Territories, asking them to avoid use of national flags made of plastic, and ensure strict compliance of the flag code. In its advisory, the ministry said the national flag represents the hopes and aspirations of the people and hence should occupy a position of honour.
