HJS’ Ranaragini branch challenge Ram Gopal Varma to file counter complaint

A lady-member of Ranaragini Division threatened for lodging complaint; Insolence earned with name and fame by Ram Gopal Varma !

A member of Ranaragini Division, Sou. Vishakha Mhambre has lodged a complaint with police against an impertinent ‘tweet’ posted regarding women on ‘Women’s Day’. Instead of showing any regret for making such comment, Ram Gopal Varma has tweeted to threaten the complainant woman that complaint should be lodged against her with police. Such threat to a woman in democratic Bharat is an exhibition of insolence by Ram Gopal Varma earned by him along with name, fame and money. Kum. Pratiksha Korgaonkar, the State Convener of Ranaragini Division has challenged Ram Gopal Varma that he should lodge a complaint and Ranaragini would bring him to senses.

In today’s ‘tweet’ Verma has said that complainant Vishakha Mhambre, who has only 212 followers, is insulting Sunny Leone who has 18 lakh followers. Thus, once again he exhibited his (im) morality. Does the number of followers indicate character of any woman ? Then, Sunny Leone holds the top position on ‘Google’ search for 5 consecutive years. Does Ram Gopal Varma therefore, think that Leone was the most virtuous woman in India, asked Kum. Pratiksha. She also said further that Jitendra Avhad, who had tried to invite Sunny Leone to dance in ‘Dahi-handi’ festival program has now shown his concern for women; disfavoring Sunny Leone, which could probably be due to losing power in recent elections.

Boycott film ‘Sarkar 3’ and show respect to women !

Boycott film ‘Sarkar 3’ releasing this week and teach a lesson to Ram Gopal Varma who has used threatening language against women, despite insulting women, is an appeal made on behalf of ‘Ranaragini’ Division. Kum. Pratiksha Korgaonkar informed that a complaint has been lodged against Ram Gopal Varma with ‘Goa Mahila Ayog’ (Women’s Commission, Goa) in this context.

RGV apologises for Women’s Day tweet on Sunny Leone, says he didn’t mean to be insensitive

Mumbai/Goa: Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma’s derogatory tweet on Women’s Day landed him in trouble after a women’s organisation filed a police complaint against him.

Facing criticism, the filmmaker apologised on Thursday saying he was “just expressing my feelings”.

Varma, who is not new to social media feuds, had tweeted on Wednesday, “I wish all the women in the world give men as much happiness as Sunny Leone gives.”

The complaint said Varma has gravely insulted women with his tweet.

Ranragini, which has affiliation to Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, filed a complaint with Mapusa police last evening with its local office-bearer Vishakha Mhambare demanding that Varma be booked under Cyber laws and section 292 of IPC.

On Thursday evening, he put out a series of tweets apologising.

“Was just expressing my feelings but I apologise to all who were offended due to my unintended insensitive tweets in context of women’s day,” Varma said.

“My apology is only to those who genuinely got offended and not to those who ranted for publicity nd threatened to take law into their hands,” he added.

Earlier in the day, the director also got into a war of words with NCP MLA Jitendra Awhad on Twitter.

Awhad asked Varma to apologise or “face the consequences, we don’t mind taking law in hand (sic).”

To which, the director replied, “If you don’t apologise to threat of taking law into your own hands, will formally register complaint, so let me know. Please note.”

Meanwhile, Congress too demanded that the Maharashtra government and State Women’s Commission file an FIR against the filmmaker for his “sexist” remarks.

Ram Gopal Varma threatens counter FIR after police complaint on his Sunny Leone tweet

After Ram Gopal Varma’s Sunny Leone tweet on Women’s Day, a police complaint was filed against the filmmaker. He has now threatened to file a counter complaint.

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma’s tweet, ostensibly wishing International Women’s Day, has got him into legal trouble as a police complaint has been filed against him, accusing him of insulting women. Known for offending people with his opinions, Varma was at it again today morning as he tweeted, “I wish all the women in the world give men as much happiness as Sunny Leone gives.” After the police complaint was filed, RGV threatened a counter FIR.

Pratiksha Kargaonkar, belonging to Women’s branch of Hindu group Hindu Janajagruti, filed a complaint against him in Goa. The complaint states that insulting a woman’s prestige is a cognizable offence under the Indecent Representation of Women Act, hence an offence should be registered against the director under Cyber Law for victimisation of Women. The filmmaker retaliated on social media and said, “Filing counter against OverActivist wid 212 followers which wud b her family n friends, for disrespecting 18 lakh followers of @SunnyLeone.” He added in another tweet, “Only God nd Social media numbers r true judges nd who disagree shud check no, of @SunnyLeone followers with their own numbers b4 they tweet.” Pratiksha has also demanded that Varma’s Twitter account be permanently blocked.

Here are RGV’s tweets on the FIR…

In earlier tweets, RGV gave a piece of his mind to his critics. “The negative noise towards my tweet on @SunnyLeone arises from ultimate hypocrisy. She has more honesty and more self respect than any woman,” he wrote.

The director added, “@SunnyLeone doesn’t have millions following bcos of her body as 1000’s of women hv great bodies ..Her greatness is in standing by her pride.” He even declared that he would make a short film on the adult star-turned-actor.

“Soon making short film on exposing sanctimoniousness of extremely antithetical multifarious perspectives on the phenomenon of @SunnyLeone. My short film on her phenomenon will bare the veiled centrally decomposed cogitations in all the mentally corroded naysayers of @SunnyLeone,” Varma posted.

Hindu Janajagruti has its headquarters in Goa.

Goa : ‘Ranaragini’ lodges a Police complaint against Ram Gopal Varma

Ram Gopal Varma, who always remain in limelight due to his controversial statements has gravely insulted women by his contorted tweet on International Women’s Day. He said in the tweet, ‘The pleasure, which Sunny Leone gives to men should be given by all women to the men’. Such obscene well wishes have caused great insult to all women, and therefore, Ms. Vishakha Mhambare of Ranaragini’, a women’s branch of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has lodged a complaint with the Mapusa Police Station in Goa, in presence of women from various organisations. Ms. Pratiksha Korgaonkar, State Organiser of Ranaragini has warned that Ram Gopal Varma should tender public apology to all women for his hateful statement. Otherwise the Ranaragini will take to streets against him.

Ram Gopal Varma identifies only Sunny Leone among all women. However, time has come to show him that the same woman can transform herself in a warrior woman like Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi. Ram Gopal Varma is a distortion himself for the entire human race. Entire film industry should boycott Ram Gopal Varma. Similarly, to teach a lesson to such a distorted film producer and uphold the respect for women, the films made by him should be boycotted. This appeal is being made by ‘Ranaragini’

Ram Gopal Varma posts nasty Women’s Day message, twitterati posts nastier replies

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma is at it again. The 54-year-old, who’s known for his unabashed controversial statements every now and then, speaks his mind even on social media, often drawing flak for his posts. Days after he upset actor Tiger Shroff’s mother and sister — when he mocked Tiger’s recent photoshoot and tweeted to the actor, asking him “not to pose in an Urmilaish way” — RGV’s Twitter post on International Women’s Day (March 8) has drawn ire.

Here’s what the filmmaker tweeted:

This did not go down well with many people, who took to the micro-blogging site to give RGV a piece of their mind. Here’s what some people wrote:

Actor Sunny Leone — who was mentioned in RGV’s tweet — however, did not seem to have taken offense, and replied with a smiley.

Last month, it was a picture of goddess Saraswati and a superimposed map of Andhra Pradesh on her veena, which got the filmmaker in trouble. He was also criticised for his tweet on Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No 150 poster, where he called it the “height of narcissism.”
