HJS drive to stop malpractices on the occasion of ‘Valentine Day’

Many incidents have occurred where girls have been teased, also involving violent acts in one-sided love affairs in the background of Valentine Day under the guise of hideous exhibition of love. Parties are arranged on the occasion in which there is increase in consumption of liquor by youth, smoking and drug addictions. It is observed that sale of contraceptives also goes up during this period and in general, promiscuity, materialism spoiling educational atmosphere; creating law and order problems in schools and colleges areas is rising day by day.

Special police squads should be engaged for patrolling in areas of schools and colleges; misbehaving youth should be taken into custody; action should be taken against youth involved in eve teasing and against those driving rashly under influence of liquor, were the demands made through representations submitted by HJS to different government authorities in Maharashtra. A report on the same is given below.
