Representations submitted to Colleges in Thane

HJS submitted representation to Head Mistress Anjana Ravat of ‘Dnyanaganga B Ed College’, Ghodbunder Road, Thane and to Shri. R. Bavaskar, the Principal of ‘Mruchhala’ Engineering College, against celebration of Valentine Day.

Successful drive against Valentine Day in a college at Jalgaon

Owing to awareness created by HJS, Valentine Day was not celebrated in SNDT College and there was quiet everywhere.

Shri Yoga Vedanta Seva Samiti (YVS) also participates in the drive against Valentine Day

Representations were submitted on behalf of Sanatan Sanstha and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) to stop wrong practices like Valentine Day. Shri. Manav Buddhadev of YVS said that drives undertaken by Sanatan and HJS have not only support of YVS but also participation by YVS.

Awareness created even in schools at Nalasopara and Koparkhairane

Lectures were held at Sopara English School at Nalasopara (W) and Municipal school at Koparkhairane which were attended by 450 and 125 students respectively. Guidance was given to students of tenth standard of ‘Vijay Classes’, a private coaching class at Jogeshwari. 200 students attended the guidance.

Awareness created at different places in Vidarbha

Representations were submitted to the concerned authorities of 36 schools and colleges at Vardha, Chandrapur and Gadchiroli which benefited more than 1000 students. A Cell was erected against Valentine Day celebrations near the entrance of New Arts College, Vardha on 14th February. It received good response.

Representation submitted to Dy. District Magistrate and Police Commissioner of Pimpri – Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC)

Demand was made to undertake necessary measures for prevention of wrong things happening in the background of Valentine Day, by submitting representations to Shri. Rajendra Muthe, the Dy. District Magistrate, Pune and Shri. Dinesh Waghmare, Municipal Commissioner of PCMC.
