Inspector General of Police to ask for report from SP for brutally beating a staunch Hindu

Aurangabad: On 23rd September, Shri. Amit Kadam, an active member of Hindu Dakshata Samiti (HDS) from Tulzapur was brutally beaten up by Shri. Shyam Dighavkar, the Superintendent of Police (SP) from Usmanabad. In this context, Shri. B. D. More, the additional IGP of Aurangabad Zone gave a word to Hindu Janajagruti Samiti that a report on the incident would be called for from Shri. Dighavkar when Shri. Sharad Chawda of HJS met him.

On 26th September, a representation was given to the IGP demanding suspension of Shri. Dighavkar for his illegal action. Shri. More immediately contacted Shri. Dighavkar when he gave an untrue account of the incident. He said that Shri. Kadam was beaten up by assistant policeman since he talked very rudely. Shri Chawada told the IGP what the truth was and insisted on taking action against Shri. Dighavkar. Shri. More listened to his side of the story and assured him that a report on the incident would be called for.
