Women should not fall prey to baits offered by fanatics : Kum. Rageshree Deshpande

Jalgaon : Present condition of women is serious and incidents of oppression, rape, molestation happening every day, have crossed all limits. It is therefore, necessary to empower women and getting trained in self-defence has become the need of the hour, stated Kum. Rageshree Deshpande of Ranaragini Division, promoted by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS).

On 30th January, a gathering was organized by ‘Nabhik Mahila Mandal’ which was addressed by Kum. Rageshree Deshpande. She said that our girls would not fall prey to any enticements if our ‘Dharma-sanskars’ are inculcated in them. Acts like applying ‘kumkum’, making plaits or bun of hair, wearing Indian dress etc are acts of ‘Dharmacharan’. If young women abide by Dharma, fanatics will think 5 times before teasing girls. Young girls and women should not fall prey to any baits; should get trained in self-defence and become competent to take care of self.

Sou. Asha Talele, the President of senior citizens’ association said that right ‘sanskars’ should be inculcated in children so that they have respect for Indian culture. A woman is considered to be a Goddess in Hindu Dharma; therefore, the Goddess in woman should be respected and killing of female foetus should be stopped was the appeal made by her to women.
