New Delhi : In the wake of the Uri terror attack, intelligence reports from Pakistan have indicated that 16-17 terror camps were shifted from their current locations, as per a media report.

India Today quoted highly placed sources in the intelligence agencies as saying that the training camps of the Lashkar-e-Toiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed and the Hizbul Mujahideen were relocated in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Also, these terror camps were shifted with the help of Pakistani Army and Inter-services Intelligence.

The report further quoted intelligence sources as saying that four terror camps operating from Mansehra and Muzaffarabad were shifted by the Pakistani Army, with the new ones being erected near heavily built villages within PoK in order to camouflage with residential population.

Some were supposedly shifted within Pakistani Army bases.

The move is said to have been taken to evade being identified by Indian agencies with intelligence sources saying that Pakistan was rattled with India’s diplmatic and strategic offensive.

Uri attack: PM Modi likens anger to 1965, reposes faith in Army

Meanwhile, likening the anger in the country over Uri attack to that witnessed in the 1965 war, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had on Sunday maintained that those responsible for the terror strike would surely be punished.

He had also sent out a message to the people of Kashmir, which has been witnessing unrest for over two months, saying that “peace, unity and harmony” were the ways to resolve problems and expressed confidence that all issues can be addressed through discussions.

In his monthly radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’ which he began by paying tributes to the 18 soldiers who died in the Uri attack on September 18, PM Modi had said, “this cowardly act was enough to shake the entire country. There is mourning as well as anger in the country.”

He had added, “This is a loss not only for those families which lost their sons, brothers, husbands. This loss is for the entire country. That is why, today I will say only this much, which I said on that day (of the incident) also and I will repeat it today, that the guilty will surely be punished.”

Reposing faith in the Indian Army, the Prime Minister had said that it would foil all such designs through its bravery.

“They (Indian Army men) are the people who take bravery to its pinnacle so that 125 crore people can live a peaceful life,” he had said.
