Jihadi rapist ‘Saleem’ comes out of jail, rapes and kills 10-year-old

rapeRampur : A day after a 10-year-old girl was found gang raped and brutally murdered – her hands and head chopped off – from her neighbour’s house, it has emerged that the prime accused, 22-year-old Saleem alias Chhotu, had spent four years in jail for raping an eight-year-old in 2012 and had come of prison recently.

The macabre incident led to an uproar in the locality in Bareilly’s Kameri tehsil when the prime accused’s father was found sitting on a cot with the girl’s disfigured body , covered in a cloth, lying underneath.

Police have arrested the accused’s father and his wife while Saleem and his cousin Junaid, who is also an accomplice in the crime, are on the run. All the four accused have been booked under the National Security Act and other sections of the IPC.

According to the police, the victim, who was a student of class II, had gone out on Sunday evening to buy a notebook. Kameri police station house officer Laxmi Shankar said, “The girl’s mother had said she saw Saleem, his father and Junaid, packing her daughter’s body parts in plastic bags.”

As the word spread, a crowd broke into the horror house and found Saleem’s father sitting on a cot with the girl’s body.
