Pune: Members of the Jai Ganesh Mitra Mandal from Velvand (T. Bhor) recently visited Sanatan Sanstha’s ashram at Devad and obtained information on how to celebrate Ganesh festival in an ideal manner. HJS and Sanatan Sanstha had jointly arranged the Ganesh festival campaign. The Members of Mandal also watched the VCD recorded by Sanatan in this regard. The President of the Committee had stated that this year they would celebrate the festival as per the science and accordingly they act.
It has been observed that the Committee had spent less on decorations, the idol was
prepared as per the science and while bringing the idol, instead of using loud speakers and drums etc., people participating in the procession chanted ‘Sri Ganeshaya Namah’. The workers of the Committee were also chant while doing various sevas. Film songs and gambling was prohibited in the pandal.
