Pune: After Bhor, Staunch Hindus stop donation of Lord Ganesh idol drive of ANS (Andhashradha Nirmulan Samiti – Committee for Eradication of Blind Faith) at Saswad in Purandar Taluqa. ANS drive met the same fate as in Bhor, the adjacent taluqa where the anti-religion drive of ANS failed to attract devotees. After reading the news in ‘Dainik Sanatan Prabhat’s issue of 3rd September about Bhor natives immersing Ganesh idols in water, people from Saswad got inspired and contacted members of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and told them that they too wanted to immerse Ganesh idols as per science.
Pamphlets advocating immersion of idol in water were circulated. When the workers of ANS and Rashtra Seva Dal got the wind of it, they did not turn out for the immersion. As awareness was created among people towards immersion of Ganesh idols as per science, the drive of immersion of idols was 100% successful.
