Christian community’s biased treatment leads to Dalit Christians’ ghar wapsi

Congratulations to Hindus who came back to own home on realizing true nature of Christians ! Other converted Hindus can learn from the above example !

Thiruvananthpuram : Few pro-Hindu organizations from Kerala had undertaken ‘Ghar vapasi’ drive to bring back converted Hindus. Many ‘Dalit’ families felt dejected with the biased treatment given to them by Christians; therefore, they left Christianity and others are also on the way.

1. As per the statistics published in the gazette paper of Kerala Government, 1335 people changed their religion during the year 2015; among them are 660 ‘Dalit’ Christians who have come back to Hindu Dharma.

2. In last 19 months, 1119 people gave up Christianity; 840 gave up Hindu Dharma whereas 85 Muslims left Islam.

3. ‘Dalit’ Christians are coming back to Hindu Dharma to get benefits under reservation policy; also they are fed up of biased treatment given to them, stated Shins Peter, former President of ‘Kerala Converted Christians’ Development Corporation’.

4. Executive Director, N Ravindran of the above Corporation said that standard of living of scheduled castes amongst Hindus is better than ‘Dalit’ Christians.

5. Converts are given inferior treatment in Christianity. The original Christians do not have any association or allow their children to marry in such converted families. Chances of a ‘Dalit’ Christian becoming missionary are rare, said ‘Dalit’ activist Sunny Kapikad.
