Ramnathi (Goa) – Various ancient valuable things from Bharat were taken away by the British to their country by setting up ‘Central Archeology Department’ in 1850. Now, despite independence, the country is still being run based on the rules and regulations made by the British; therefore, the Department is neglecting ancient treasures of Hindus. The Sun Temple of Konark and Jagannath Temple of Puri are no exceptions. Hindu Rashtra is therefore, needed for preserving the ancient valuable treasures belonging to Hindus, said Shri. Anil Dhir, national General Secretary of ‘Bharat Raksha Manch’, Odisha.

Government’s indifference as narrated by Shri. Anil Dhir

1. Today, what we see of Sun Temple of Konark, is only 25% of the actual temple. The Archaeology Department does nothing for preservation of this temple.

2. People are charged for taking ‘darshan’ in this temple. We made a demand with the former President Pratibhatai Patil and Vice President Hamid Ansari that Hindus should be allowed to go to this temple for free at least on one day in a week but our demand was ignored.

3. The British stole Kohinoor diamond from Raja Ranajitsingh’s son Dilipsingh. The Government started some efforts for getting it back when few rulers said that the diamond was given as a gift thus foiling efforts of retrieval.

4. The road going from Kolkata to Puri was used by Sage Narada, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Saint Kabir; so we asked the Government for preservation of that road; but our demand was thrown in trash. Then, we travelled on this road for 15 days and collected information about 200 ancient structures, inns etc and we have submitted the same to the Government demanding their preservation.

5. With such kind of rulers, it is difficult to get back our invaluable ancient treasures and Hindu Rashtra is the only solution to this problem.
