ANS bends before Hindu organizations

A pamphlet issued by the ANS (Andhashradha Nirmulan Samiti – Committee for Eradication of Blind Faith) appeals people to immerse Ganesh idols in unused wells and ponds. But owing to increasing opposition from staunch Hindus, ANS has given up its campaign. The Hindu organizations like VHP, Bajarang Dal, HJS have issued a circular making an appeal to people for immersion of Ganesh idols in flowing water.

The circular issued by ANS says that committees for public celebration of Ganesh festival and individuals celebrating this festival should support its campaign of pollution free river. The things like flowers, leaves offered to the deity should be collected instead of immersing in water. It has been appealed to people to introspect and cooperate with ANS. Although there has been no evidence of water getting polluted on immersion of Ganesh idols, still ANS is spreading wrong information and propagating donation of Ganesh idols. Therefore, the Hindu organizations have also issued a circular that people should not be taken in by the false propaganda of ANS and as per science, should immerse the idols in flowing water.
