A Challenge before the Andhashraddha Nirmoolan Samiti – by Zee News

"Kaal Kapaal Mahakaal" is a telecast on Zee News which shows in a dramatic way, how crimes are done. Similar to being like a crime diary in which details are given on how the criminal was exposed, this programme is found entertaining by spectators and people often write to Zee news about their opinions of how a crime has been performed. This time the programme has indeed put forth a challenge for the pseudo-modernists! "Naresh Baba", an ardent devotee of Lord Rama and Hanuman in Haryana State was shown healing physically or psychologically ill visitors in his "darbar" by his touch and mantra healing methods. He is said to have cured ailments like depression, arthritis, spondylitis and slip-disc which have been declared untreatable by doctors. Naresh baba does not believe he is a saint and owes all his capability which he refers to as a "Siddhi" to his father’s blessing and Lord Ram’s grace. His father was an ardent devotee of Lord Ramachandra and Hanuman. Patients are asked to chant "Jai Shri Ram" as he performs some rituals on them, applies oil on the affected parts and lo, the patient is seen improved on the spot. Zee News has also taken interviews of several devotees who are from respectable intellectual families. Ironically one of them is a medical practitioner himself! When asked about Baba, all of them said, that Naresh baba was chosen as their last resort after all kinds of modern medical treatments failed to give relief and they had been either partially or fully cured after visiting his darbar. They also say that Naresh Baba has never taken any money from them in return for the service done to them. Among the diseases cured by Baba, are migraine, arthritis and depression. Naresh Baba has said he is willing to treat any person brought to him by anyone only if medical treatments have failed to cure him.
(Why dont the activists of the AndhaShraddha Nirmoolan Samiti go to these devotees and convince them that their faith in Naresh baba’s siddhi is actually blindfaith ? Or can the Andhashraddha Nirmoolan Samiti prove that this is really blindfaith ? Why does it not accept the challenge? The Andhashraddha Nirmoolan Samiti has been known to have run away from several such challenges put forth before them.)
