People initiated into ‘Naga Sadhus’ on the bank of holy River Kshipra

Ujjain : Shri Taponidhi Niranjani Akhara initiated 500 people into Naga Sadhus on 18th May. There were people of all ages, from small children, young men and aged, among them. Under the directions of Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Punyanandagiri Maharaj of this Akhara, the ceremony was held at ‘Datta Akhara Ghat’. Newly initiated Naga Sadhus had holy bath in River Kshipra and performed ‘Pinga-daan’ for their past 7 generations. Other rituals under initiation like naming ceremony etc. were going on till late night.

Sadhvi ‘Maan’ Rhutambhara initiated 7 lady-seekers into asceticism !

Sadhvi ‘Maan’ Rhutambhara from Vrundavan, Uttar Pradesh recently initiated 7 lady seekers staying in her ashram into asceticism. Now, these 7 seekers have become ‘sadhvis’. The process was started from 5.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m., with shaving off heads of the seekers; followed with performing ‘tarpan’ after having bath in River Kshipra. They also performed own ‘pinda-daan’. Sadhvi Rhutambhara then gave them the ‘Guru-mantra’; saffron robes and a chain to wear around their neck. These lady seekers have been named as Sadhvi Samadashagiri, Sadhi Sarvasiddhigiri, Sadhvi Satyasiddhagiri, Sadhvi Satyakeertigiri, Sadhvi Vrutagiri, Sadhvi Satyamurtygiri and Sadhvi Sandhyagiri. These seekers have been staying in Vrundavan ashram and practiseing celibacy for a long time. 3 lady seekers were similarly initiated earlier as Sadhvis.
