Know more about Lord Ganesha

Why does the Police and Administration which opposes education on Righteousness for Hindus, remain mum on the fanaticism of Muslims?

Mumbai and New Mumbai witnessed the immersion of Lord Ganapati and Goddess Gauri which were immersed after being worshipped for 7 days. Citing the case of water pollution, the Municipality had constructed artificial tanks at 18 places in Mumbai and 3 places at New Mumbai. But despite this the Municipality was disappointed as at most of the places there was a very poor response as most of the devotees preferred to immerse the Idols of Lord Ganapati in the natural water sources. The Police and the administration however unnecessarily opposed the members of Sanatan Sanstha and HJS who were peacefully educating the Ganesh devotees.

When Lord Ganesh is worshipped for seven days with a lot of devotion, the Idol attracts the subtle most particles of Lord Ganesh Principle and when the Idol is immersed in natural water sources these particles are dispersed over a vast area thus benefitting all. The HJS members were educating the devotees on this fact by standing near the artificial tanks.

Dadar: The HJS activists educated the people on the importance of immersion in the natural water sources by way of placards and through loudspeakers near the Mayor’s bungalow on Veer Sawarkar Marg. Only a few people went for immersion in the artificial tank constructed near the Mayor’s bungalow as most of the devotees preferred immersion in the sea itself. The activists of HJS also educated the people on the malpractices and importance of immersion in natural water sources from the booths erected by various political parties at Dadar.

Not a single Ganesh Idol was immersed in the artificial tank erected at Chincholi Lake, Juinagar, Chikuwadi , Borivali(west) tilll 6.30 p.m. Activists of  Sanatan Sanstha and HJS were  educating  the people in the vacinity of 2 artificial tanks in New Mumbai.

Anti- Dharma Police and Administration!

New Mumbai: Members of Sanatan and HJS had gone for educating the devotees arriving at 3 artificial tanks built by the New Mumbai Municipality for Ganesh Idol immersion. The police however drove them away and even threatened them to arrest by serving them a notice under prohibition of assembly.

Vashi Sector 7: The four women members of HJS were standing with placards and were peacefully educating the devotees. But there also the officials of Municipality objected and with the help of women police prevented them from educating people. The workers of the Municipality however coaxed the devotees going for immersion to natural water sources to come to the artificial tanks.

Mumbai:

  • When the HJS activists were standing with placards near the artificial tank at Malad, their placards were confiscated and volunteers of some MLA’s drove them off.
  • When the activists went to educate people near Vile parle, the police did not allow them to stand nearby stating that it would cause a law and order problem.
  • Dahisar sports foundation and Municipality had jointly arranged for immersion of Ganesh Idols. The activists were not allowed to stand there and were driven away by none other than one of the leaders of a pro-Hindu political party who pressurised the  police.
  • When the members of Sanatan Sanstha and HJS had gone to educate the people near the tank besides Mayor’s bungalow, the volunteers resisted them but later on invited them for discussion.
  • The police and the Municipal workers opposed the activists of HJS and SanatanSanstha at Tawdewadi, Dahisar(w), Koprigao, Chincholi Talao, Juinagar, Akurli and  Kandivli.

Special Features

  1. Even after opposition the activists continued to visit Ganesh devotees and educated them.
  2. When the police resisted, the activists retaliated by saying, ‘We are not doing any anti-law activity. We are telling the people what is there in the Hindu scriptures and it is our fundamental right.’ Hearing this the opposition by police became less at some places.
  3. At Kandivali, two police officers said, ‘We agree with you  but we are helpless.’

Such was the response to education!

  1. On receiving the education from HJS activists near the Mayor’s bungalow, devotees Mr. Prakash Ahire and Mr. Jagannath Pednekar decided against the immersion in the artificial tank and opted for immersion in the sea.
  2. Dr Kaustubh Salvi was similarly educated by the HJS activists near the artificial tank constructed at Pestam Sagar, Chembur. He then actually immersed the Idol in flowing water instead of in an artificial tank.
  3. Even those returning from the immersion in artificial tanks were educated. Some of the Ganesh devotees apologised for their mistake and said that this happened as they were not aware and would not repeat this mistake next year.

As a part of the  education campaign  devotees’ signatures were taken on a resolution describing the importance of Idol immersion in natural water sources.
