Diva (Thane,Mumbai): A program called ‘Azadi ka Mahotsava’ was organized on behalf of ‘Agape Christ Ministries’ on the occasion of Independence Day. A complaint was lodged by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti with Mumbra Police as a precautionary measure so that under the guise of such program, conversion or some such objectionable things do not take place. Besides, Advocate, Mrs. Sudha Joshi discussed the matter with Mr. Arun Sonde, the senior Police Inspector. The action taken by the police and alertness of devout Hindus resulted in foiling the ploy of conversion by Christians. (Congratulations to members of HJS who lodged complaint with the police on time, advocate, Mrs. Sudha Joshi and Mr. Sonde, the Police Inspector (PI) for taking prompt action ! – Editor SP)

In the above program, Jayaprabhu Mark, a missionary stated that as narrated in the Bible, God (Jesus) has come to free us of the demons, evil souls, fear, loneliness, problems, distress, thoughts to commit suicide and sins. Since our soul is overtaken by the demons, we tend to do bad things. Pray to God to get rid of these problems. He can only remove all your distress. How the freedom fighters had shed their blood to free this country, Jesus Christ has shed blood and freed us of all our problems. (It is a ploy of the missionaries to compare the freedom fighters with Christ to lure Hindus. Hindus must not get carried away by the ploy of missionaries and should oppose such ploy. – Editor SP)

Taking note of the circular issued by the missionaries, HJS lodged a complaint with the police on the previous day of the program demanding preventive measures against the organizers of the program. Advocate, Mrs. Joshi requested PI, Mr. Sonde to cancel the program and get an assurance from the organizers of the program, in writng, that there would not be conversion or other objectionable things occurring in the program. Mr. Sonde called the organizers of the program to the police station to explain and got in writing from them that no objectionable thing would take place in the program. 15 policemen, 2 policemen in plain clothes and a police vehicle was provided at the venue; therefore, no untoward incident took place.

Highlights

  • National Flags made of paper were distributed to the attendees. Some of them put the flags upside down whereas some flags were in crumpled condition. Mr. Santosh Kadam of HJS showed some people how to pin the flag properly and Mr. Sudhanshu Joshi, reporter of ‘Dainik Sanatan Prabhat’ brought it to the notice of a volunteer named Manohar. Later, an announcement was made on the stage about the right manner of pinning up the flags. (The only motive of Christians to organize the program ‘Azadi ka Mahotsava’ was conversion. How will then they be bothered about the abuse of the National Flags? This shows the fake nationalism of Christians ! – Editor SP)
