‘Prerana’ award presented to Ramesh Shinde of HJS by ‘Pitambari’ Group

Thane (Maharashtra): For his notable work involving ‘Protection of Dharma and creating awareness among people towards Dharma’, Mr. Ramesh Shinde, the spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) for the States of Maharashtra and Goa was felicitated on behalf of the Pitambari Group of Industries by conferring upon him the ‘Prerana’award. 

Late Wamanrao Prabhudesai, the founder of ‘Pitambari group of Industries’ was a great nationalist and a man of principles and he has set an example of an ideal and successful industrialist.  On the occasion of the first death anniversary, on 16th August, a Hindi and English version of his auto-biography titled ‘Dhyeyasadhana’ was released by Mr. Prabhakar Panashikar, a renowned stage artiste and Mr. Madhavrao Bhide, the founder of ‘Saturday Club’ respectively. [S1] The program was held in Gokhale Mangal Bhavan Hall at Thane, West. The above award was presented in the said function.

The program began with paying obeisance to the memory of Late Prabhudesai and lighting a lamp by Mr. Abasaheb Patwari, a senior social worker presiding over the program. Mrs. Shweta Ganu, the original author of the book written in Marathi, Mr. Ravindra Prabhudesai, the Managing Director of ‘Pitambari’ group shared the dais with Mr. Panashikar and Mr. Bhide. The program was compeered by Mrs. Sneha Agharkar. Mr. Ravindra Prabhudesai, Mrs. Ganu and Mr. Vishwanath Desai were interviewed by Mr.Kishor Soman, a senior announcer from Radio.    

 Mr. Panashikar said, “Hindus are the real foes of Hindu Dharma. Organisations like RSS, VHP etc. should now work hard towards the protection of Hindu Dharma. Those opposing Hindu Dharma should be strongly countered. Muslims insult and tease Hindus but still they are pampered. Christians, who belong originally to our lineage, have also gone against us.

Mr. Patwari in his presidential address said that the late Prabhudesai worked on many aspects like the protection of cows, creating awareness among Hindus and also for social causes. All of us must follow his example. Hinduism is not parochial but is encompasses the entire world. We must not let go of Hinduism and its principles while working in any field be it religion, social or political.

Three persons who have done outstanding work in the fields of social, cultural and work related to Hindu Dharma were felicitated in the program. They included:

    * Mr. Shinde  of HJS
    * Mr. Prakash Govind Chaudhary, secretary of Vanavasi Kalyan Ashram from Thane District and
    * Mr. Sandip Ramakant Bhagat of Bajarang Dal from Bhiwandi.

The award comprised of a shawl, Sreefal (coconut), a letter of appreciation, a medal and a cheque of Rs.11,000/-. The recipients were welcomed with floral bouquets.

Mr. Soman interviewed even the recipients of the award to introduce the audience to their work. Mr. Shinde said, “Hindu Janajagruti Samiti works for the protection of Dharma keeping the youth in mind. Today, it is necessary for everyone to follow the path of Dharma by educating themselves through ‘Dharma-shikshan’ as it can motivates one to participate in activities for the protection of Dharma.

HJS is in contact with Hindu youth all over the world through its website and therefore, it is in 19 th position during the last 2 years among 6 crores websites currently operated. I pray that this ‘Prerana’ award gives ‘prerana (inspiration)’ to many.

 I express gratitude at the feet of my Sadguru H. H. Dr. Jayant Balaji Athavale for receiving this award because it is through His inspiration; I am doing this ‘Dharmakarya’ as a service. HJS activities are going on not only in this country but all over the world. 350 branches have been opened in the last 2 months in Maharashtra alone. This will enable us to train the youth for the protection of Dharma along with imparting to them training on matters related to Dharma.”

Thane (Maharashtra): ‘Pitambari’ group of industries has declared the ‘Prerana’ award to Mr. Ramesh Shinde, the spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) for his outstanding contribution in the field of protection of Dharma and creating awareness among people towards Dharma.

On the occasion of the first death anniversary, falling on 16th August, of late Wamanrao Prabhudesai, the founder of ‘Pitambari group of Industries’ who was a great nationalist and man of principles and who set an example of an ideal and successful industrialist, a Hindi and English version of his auto-biography titled ‘Dhyeyasadhana’ will be published. The program will be held on 16th August between 5.00 p.m. and 9.00 p.m. at Gokhale Mangal Bhavan, near Bedekar Vidyamandir, Naupada, Thane.

In this program, 3 persons who have done outstanding work in social, cultural and in the field of Hinduism will be felicitated with ‘Prerana’ award. Mr. Prakash Chaudhary of Vanavasi Kalyan Ashram and Mr. Sandip Bhagat of Bajarang Dal will be conferred with the award along with Mr. Ramesh Shinde. The activities of Mr. Shinde will be introduced to the audience through an interview. The interview will be taken by Mr. Kishor Soman, a well known senior compeer on radio. The awards will be presented by Mr. Shripad Waman alias Abasaheb Patawari, the editor of ‘Jyeshthaparva’ and a senior social worker.  Mr. Madhavrao Bhide, the founder of ‘Saturday Club’ and Mr. Prabhakar Panashikar, a great artiste, will be the chief guests of the program. Mr. Bhide will inaugurate the English edition and Mr. Panashikar will inaugurate the Hindi version of the auto-biography titled ‘Dhyeyasadhana’.
