HJS’s member Sanatan sanstha’s CRI active in raigad

Panvel :Many complaints are now received after Sanap, the most corrupt Tehsildar of Panvel was caught red-handed while taking bribe. There are complaints about even other Government employees in the Tehsildar’s office, operating a gang and looting public. In this context, Smt. Shashikala Pai along with the members of Sanatan Samstha’s Committee for Redressal of Injustice (CRI), met Shri. R. R. Patil, the State Home Minister and S. S. Hussain, Revenue Secretary and apprised them of the situation in Panvel. They also demanded to free Raigad district from corruption. Shri. Patil promised to look into the matter and suspend all the concerned employees who are found guilty. Sanatan Sanstha is a very active member of Hindu Janjagruti Samiti.

The above information was given in the press conference held by CRI at Panvel and Navi Mumbai. The Committee’s activities have been now spread to Raigad district. Hussain congratulated Smt. Pai for being fearless and coming forward to lodge a complaint. He promised that a ‘Cleansing Drive’ will be undertaken in Panvel againt all those involved in corruption. Sanap, the Tehsildar who was caught red-handed, will be suspended and necessary permission to file a case against him will be issued immediately as also other administrative things required to be completed, will be taken care of.

Smt. Shashikala Pai who was instrumental in catching Sanap, the tehsildar informed that it was only due to the support of Sanatan’s CRI, she was able to book Sanap who was harassing and looting the general public. Shri. Ramesh Shinde, the State Spokesperson of the Committee stated that so far the response from the Government has been good. But in case, there is a delay in taking action against Sanap, the Committee will submit a representation to the Government taking signature of all the prominent personalities from Panvel. They will also take out a protest march and start a campaign to make the Govt. take action against the corrupt Tehsildar. The Committee was founded in the year 2001 in Goa. Since then, it has handled 126 cases; but this is the first case of corruption. Some of the affected people have come forward to lodge complaints against the corrupt employees in tahsildar’s office. The Committee has appealed to all the affected parties and people to come forward and lodge complaints.
