Dy CM promises HJS to present the concept of ideal Ganesh festival in the meeting

Mumbai : A delegation of members of Hindu Jana-jagruti Samiti (HJS) apprised Shri. R. R. Patil, the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra about the drive undertaken by HJS for creating awareness among people on celebration of Ganesh festival in an ideal manner and lessen the strain on Government machineries by stopping wrong practices. Shri Patil gave his word to the delegation that he would put forth this concept of ideal way of celebrating Ganesh festival in the meeting of senior police officers from the Home Ministry. At the official residence ‘Chitrakut’, the Dy. CM Shri. Patil, met the delegation of HJS.

Shri. R. R. Patil was informed about the code of conduct to be observed during the Ganesh festival, misdeeds taking place during the festival and its adverse effects and the campaign undertaken by HJS during the past few years. He was also presented with the VCD on ‘Ganesh festival: Facts and Ideal’.

Last year, meetings were held with the senior police officers and members of various Ganesh Festival Committees. The news item published about the ideal manner of celebrating Ganesh festival as explained by HJS was read by Shri. R. R. Patil. HJS is taking its campaign all over Maharashtra for stopping the wrongs happening during the Ganesh festival. Shri. Raokar and Shri. Parab told Shri. Patil that in the background of recent bomb blasts in Mumbai, the members of HJS plan to create awareness among devotees on security measures which will in turn reduce stress and strain gone through by the police and help them in maintaining law and order in the State. It is essential that maximum Ganesh Festival Committees, social organizations and citizens join HJS drive to expand its activities. HJS members requested that their proposal may be explained to the Ganesh Festival Cimmittees through the police officials. Shri. Patil was also presented a photograph of Lord Ganesh and a book titled �Social Upliftment, National Security and Rekindling of Righteousness�.
