Dhule : Press conference held on prevention of ill effects of crackers

Dhule : On 28th October, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) held a press conference at ‘Patrakar Bhavan’ to give information on ill effects of crackers, denigration of Deities taking place due to pictures of Deities printed on the covering of crackers and spiritual importance of Diwali.

Shri. Pankaj Bagul of HJS said, “Hindus are wasting millions of rupees on bursting crackers which cause noise and air pollution; besides it can cause loss of life due to fire. More than 50 workers had died in fire in Parola Taluka near Dhule where crackers were manufactured. Bursting of crackers with pictures of Deities and national leaders cause their desecration. HJS has been striving for many years to prevent various malpractices taking place during Diwali.” He also informed about scientific details about ‘Dhana Trayodashi’, ‘Yama Deep-daan’, ‘Narak Chaturdashi’, ‘Lakshmi-pujan’ and ‘Bhaubeej’ are available on HJS’ website for people to gain knowledge.

Shri. Kapil Sharma of Shiv Sena said that Shiv Sena was working with HJS to prevent such malpractices. They meet shopkeepers and explain to them against keeping crackers with pictures of Deities and national leaders, on sale. Shri. Yogesh Patil of ‘Yoga Vedanta Seva Samiti’ said, “Bapu’s followers are participating in the drive undertaken by HJS. Owing to HJS drive, sale of crackers with Deities’ pictures has almost stopped in Dhule; still publicity should be given to the movement for prevention of such malpractices. 15 reporters attended the conference.
