Ban on Std. X book of ICSE Board for abusing revolutionaries

Hasan Mushrif, the State Minister for school education informed in the state legislative council that the Std. X book wherein revolutionaries like Shahid Bhagatsingh, Rajguru and Sukhdev have been compared with terrorists in the lesson ‘Revival of Terrorists’ under the ICSE Board syllabus will be banned in all schools in the State. Mushrif said that the ‘Morning Star’ publication has not tendered apology in this regard. Shri Diwakar Raote, the Shiv Sena MLA asked the Minister as to what action is proposed to be taken by the Govt. when the Minister replied that legal action would be taken against the publishing house. It was also pointed out by MLA Prof. Jogendra Kawade that in the History book, name of Gautam Buddha’s mother has been printed as ‘Mayavati’ instead of ‘Mahamaya’. The minister assured that legal action would be taken within a month against the concerned for terming revolutionaries and patriots as terrorists. But order will be issued today that the book will not be used by any of the schools in the State.
