Idol of Sree Rakhandev desecrated on the day of Dussehra. Infuriated locals warn of an agitation

By Staff Reporter

Cuncolim (Goa): An idol of Sree Rakhandev Aajoba situated in a small temple at Uskinibandh, Cuncolim was desecrated by heretics on the morning of Dussehra. This is the 17th desecration incident of the series of desecration episodes that have occured in the recent past. The police has not nabbed a single culprit in all of the above incidents; then how will it nab the culprits in this recent idol desecration case, was the question asked by the resident locals of Cuncolim. The locals of Cuncolim warned the government that they will stage an agitation similar to the historic agitation staged by them against the Portuguese regime.

The CM paid heed to the demands of the locals and visited them with an assurance that the culprits will be nabbed as soon as possible. In a meeting with the locals, the police and the administration have assured that the culprits in the said case will be booked by 13th October morning, failing which the agitators have warned of a state-level agitation.
