Muslims participating in Ganesha festival to be boycotted – Futwah by Maulavis 

Mumbai : Any type of idol-worshipping, performing ‘aarati’, participating in ceremonies where idol-worshipping is involved or participating in immersion processions is condemned by Islam. Persons indulging in such things are being boycotted. The above ‘futwah’ was issued by Muslim Maulavi Mufti Mohammad Manzar Hasan Khan Ashrafi Misbahi from Delhi yesterday.

Nowadays, news about Salman Khan and some people belonging to Islamic community participating in Ganesh festivals at various places is being published. In this background, this ‘futwah’ appears to be quite significant.
