Jalgaon (Maharashtra): During the forthcoming Sree Ganesha festival, it was decided in Mahanagar Ganeshotsava Mandal (MGM) to take help of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) in maintaining the sanctity of the Ganesha festival. (Congratulations to MGM for taking steps to maintain the sancity of Ganesha festival with the help of HJS! – Editor)

Many office bearers and workers of various Ganesha festival committees attended the meeting held at ‘Keshav-smruti Pratishthan’. A video CD was shown by HJS on ‘Present manner of celebrating Ganesha festival against ideal way of celebrations’. A demand was made, after discussing the problems faced by Ganesha committees in the said meeting, to open a ‘Window’ for the same. How to obtain maximum spiritual benefit from the Ganesha festival and restrictions necessary to achieve the same as also unreligious tendencies were discussed. (Other Ganesha committees can also try to prevent malpractices occurring during the festival – Editor) It was decided to perform ‘aarati’ at 8.00 p.m. in the evening.
