Wild Female Monkey demonstrates Devotional Service at Meenakshi Temple Delhi.

Hundreds of Devotees come over to the Meenakshi Temple at Delhi from 3rd March onwards for celebrating "Laksha Deepam", festival in which lamps are lit all over the Temple premises.
On 9th March during early morning worship and prayers offered to the Goddess Meenakshi, a Female Monkey arrived from the hilly woods nearby. The Female Monkey was present for 2 complete hours in the Temple. When she arrived in the Temple, she ignored the Banannas offered to her and went straight to the Temple Priest to accept Holy Sacrament from his hands. She also gave blessings to the priest by moving her hand affectionately over the priest’s head. She also offered flowers to Goddess Meenakshi and then went over to a corner to lie down and sleep. At that time "Laita Sahastrarchana" mantra recitation was going on. After the mantra recitation was over she went to the Lord Tirupati Balaji idol and kept looking at the idol intently for some time. Then she quietly walked away into the hilly Jungles and disappeared from sight even as Municipal Authorities arrived.
The astonished devotees witnessed the whole scene with Devotion. Shri T. Ramachandran, the Editor of Periodical Tattavaloka (Chennai) was also present at the Spot.
