Black Magic Bill postponed !

Chief Minister agrees to flaws in the Black Magic Bill

Due to the aggressive stand of Shiv Sena and BJP ministers, the Black Magic Bill 2006 was postponed upto the Monsoon Session of the Vidhan Parishad. In a press conference, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri Vilasrao Deshmukh, agreed to several flaws within the bill. The Congress Government was forced to postpone the discussion of the bill upto the monsoon session of Vidhan Parishad.

Shri Divakar Ravate of Shiv Sena and Manoj Tavade of BJP strongly opposed the bill and remained firm in their opposition when it was proposed to the presented in the Vidhan Parishad on 18th April 2006.

Shri Divakar Ravate was almost up in arms against the Congress Minister and alone strongly opposed the bill. Seeing his enthusiasm, other ministers in the opposition started shouting and demanding cancellation of the Anti-Hindu Black Magic Bill. In the hullabaloo, finally the discussion of the bill was dropped !
