Ganesha Immersion-Orderly Procession: Sanatan’ VCD Effect

Mahabaleshwar (Maharashtra): Shri. Suryakant Panchal, a member of Eco Sensitive Soceity showed VCD on –‘Ganeshotsava Celebration: Ideal and Reality’ prepared by Sanatan Sanstha to Ganeshotsava Committees. As a result, the committees took out Ganesha idols immersion procession in a very orderly manner and in time. (Devout Hindus like Shri. Panchal are the true strength of Hindu Dharma – Editor).
          
Shri. Panchal from Eco Sensitive Society took two VCDs from Dr. Pravin Mehta, a seeker of Sanatan Sanstha from Poladpur on ‘Panun Kashmir: Experiences of the Refugees’ and ‘Ganeshotsava Celebration: Ideal and Reality’. These VCDs were distributed by him in different societies. As an effect of the VCD, Gajanan Mitra Mandal, Veershaiva Lingayat Samaj, Vighnaharta Mitra Mandal, Koli Aali Gramastha Mitra Mandal took out procession in a very disciplined and timely manner.
         
Every year, procession used to be taken very slowly and immersion used to take place by 12.00 in the night. Shri. Panchal said that after watching the VCD, immersion was over by 7.00 p.m.
        
Shri. Suryakant Panchal also took signatures of people from 20 villages against anti-Superstition Act and sent them to the Government. He told Dr. Mehta that he would organize in Mahabaleshwar, photo-exhibiton by FACT on terriorism in Kashmir. He has also placed his order for ‘Sanatan Panchang – 2008’ and has decided to distribute the calendars to as many people as possible. (Shri.
