‘Stop ANS idol-donation drive’ : HJS Demand

By Staff Reporter

Dhule (Maharashtra): Religious custom of immersion of Sree Ganesha idol as prescribed in Hindu Dharma is aimed at acquiring spiritual benefits. ANS has been opposing immersion of idols in flowing water for environmental cause and is propagating donation of idol drive against spiritual science. But this drive is hurting religious sentiments of Hindus. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has submitted a representation to the District Superintendent of Police to ban ANS from carrying on its drive.

HJS has been carrying on a drive under which it educates people on the ideal method of celebrating Ganesh festival. It explains the spiritual significance of Sree Ganesha to the members of Public Committees set up to celebrate Sree Ganesha festival. When the idol is immersed in running water, the particles charged with Sree Ganesha particles get mixed in the water and spread all over in the atmosphere due to vaporization of the water. This spiritual benefit is overlooked by ANS and the drive for donation of idols is carried on. It has been therefore, demanded by HJS in its representation to put a ban on ANS from undertaking this drive.
