HJS, Prabodhini enlighten Public Ganeshotsava Committees

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Mulund Police Station conducted a ‘mohalla’ meeting of representatives of Ganeshotsava Committee members in which members of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and Dharmajagruti Prabodhini also took part. Both these organizations enlightened people on righteous manner of celebrating public Ganeshotsava.
        
Shri. Satish Kocharekar explained to members of committees on various campaigns undertaken by both the organizations to prevent malpractices in celebration of festivals in society. They also appealed to them that as members of Committees and a prominent constituent of society, they should stop such mismanagement. The Committee members’ response was quite encouraging.
        
Adv. Nilima Vaidya of DP enlightened participants on the malpractices like indecent behaviour with ladies by the workers of Committees and their drinking liquor during the processions. She said that such should be the behaviour of workers that women would be able to take part in the procession without any kind of fear.
       
Shri. Dattatraya Karale, Dy. Commissioner of Police, Shri. Mohan Rathod, Jt. Police Commissioner, Shri. Vivek Gogi, a senior Police Inspector at Mulund Police Station, Shri. Mitake, senior Police Inspector of Navaghar police Station, various Government officials, Saradar Tara Singh, MLA, Shri. Vishwanath Maske, local municipal councilor and many prominent personalities besides members of Ganeshotsava Committees attended the meeting.
