By Staff Reporter

Margao (Goa): On 12th August a reader of the ‘Daily Sanatan Prabhat’ from Margao, Shri. Vinay Bhat filed a police complaint about the sale of flags on the roadside, in the city and also informed the ‘Daily Sanatan Prabhat’ and "Daily Sunaprant’ about it. After this awareness was created on 15 th August.

The news channels ‘ Goa Plus’ and ‘Goa News’ questioned the concerned government officials about the flags which were strewn near the collector’s office. As this awareness campaign spread, the ‘Yuva the Goa’ organisation took up the task of preventing dishonor of the national flag.

Editors note

  • Congratulations to Shri. Vinay Bhat for remaining vigilant and taking action in this regard. Such citizens are the rays of hope for protecting the nation and religion!
  • Such organisations which strive to avoid dishonor to the national flag are the true support the nation! Hope the government which has all facilities takes a lesson from these organisations and becomes wiser! We applaud this organisation which has taken concrete action against dishonor of the national tricolour! The Indian public which only observes this ridicule of the nation inactively should take a lesson or two from this! What a vast difference there is between the freedom fighters who were prepared to even give up their lives rather than allow the tricolour to touch the ground and the present Congress government which has a callous attitude towards throwing of flags on roads and in gutters ! How will this government impress patriotism on the minds of the future generation?
