Anti-faith bill: Other languages peoples are deprived!

Kalyan (Maharashtra): Maharashtra Government has called for opinions of citizens on anti-Superstitions Act in either Marathi or English language. This has deprived citizens speaking other languages from sending their opinions. There are shortcomings in the process developed by the Government for obtaining public opinion. Dr. I. A. Khan, the President of ‘Khanquah Soofi Deedar Shah Chishti Organization’ has written to Shri. Chandrakant Handore, Minister Social Justice, stating the above.

He has stated in his letter that people who speak Hindi, Gujarati, Urdu languages etc. should be allowed to register their opinions in their mother tongues and the State Government should extend the time limit till 30th September or 2nd October 2007.
