The National Flag is a symbol of our national identity and pride. On national festivals such as 15 August and 26 January, the National Flag is hoisted on a large scale. However, plastic National Flags are often found scattered on streets, in dustbins, and across public places following the celebrations.
In particular, improper disposal of plastic National Flags used by students in schools after functions dishonours the National Flag. To prevent this insult and awaken a sense of reverence towards the Tricolour, the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has launched the nationwide ‘Respect National Flag’ campaign.
Under this campaign, the Samiti is submitting memorandums to relevant administrative bodies and institutions across various locations, urging them to conduct extensive awareness drives in schools, colleges, government offices, and public places to maintain the sanctity of the National Flag.
