Result of the protest by ‘Sakal Hindu Samaj’

Jaysingpur, Maharashtra – Hussain Sheikh, a correspondent for a local newspaper, made objectionable remarks on Hindu Deities, stating, “Hindu deities are stones. Why do you go to temples? Why do you give donations? Instead of that, you should help living people.”
Outraged by this, the ‘Sakal Hindu Samaj’ promptly submitted a memorandum against journalist Hussain Sheikh at the Jaysingpur Police Station, demanding strict legal action against him. Due to this strong stand taken by the Sakal Hindu Samaj, Hussain Sheikh was forced to issue a written explanation and apologise.

Those present at the police station during the submission of the memorandum included Rajendra Gadivaddar and Shailendra Lohia, of Shri Shivpratishthan Hindusthan; Councillor Santosh Jadhav; Mahendra Daingade of the BJP; Mahendra Rajput, Sunil Bhore, Dheerajlal Patel, and Kailas Deshmukh of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS); and Sanjay Ghatge of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti.
In his apology, Hussain Sheikh stated, “I apologise to my Hindu brothers. I did not intend to hurt anyone’s sentiments. I will ensure that the sentiments of the Sakal Hindu Samaj are not hurt by any such statements of mine in future.”
- This incident highlights a disturbing pattern in which Hindu Deities and culture are repeatedly targeted under the guise of free speech. It demonstrates that individuals harbouring deep-seated hostility towards Hindus will eventually reveal their true colours, irrespective of their professional status.
- The prompt and decisive action taken by Sakal Hindu Samaj is commendable and sets a strong example against such anti-Hindu elements.
