Kota, Rajasthan – Just as the birth anniversaries of Divine incarnations are celebrated according to their lunar dates (tithi), every follower of Sanatan Dharma should also celebrate their birthday according to the tithi.
Hinduism’s 16 sanskars (sacraments) and festivals are deeply rooted in the scriptures. Following them brings peace and joy to life and helps eradicate various social evils, stated Sadguru Dr Charudatta Pingale, National Guide of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS).
He delivered this address during a meeting organised by the HJS at the Manshapurna Hanuman Temple premises in Arandkhera village in Kota district. Kunjbihari Sharma, a senior teacher from Kota and member of the temple committee, honoured Sadguru Dr Pingale.

Anand Jakhotiya, the Rajasthan-Madhya Pradesh Coordinator for the HJS, introduced the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti’s work. He stated, “Every tradition in Sanatan Dharma is based on both scripture and science. If we understand and accept it properly, many problems related to the body, mind, and life can be resolved.”
Also present on the occasion were former village head Lalitesh Sharma, Meghraj Sen, Pawan, Devi Shankar Suman, Bajrang Dal coordinator Bablu Suman, Giriraj Prasad, and many other villagers.
