Shankaracharya extends his blessings to HJS.

Pune, Maharashtra – Shrimad Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Sadanand Saraswati Maharaj, Peethadheeshwar of the Dwarka Sharada Peeth, stated that the increasing incidents of love jihad and religious conversions constitute a systematic conspiracy aimed at weakening Hindu Dharma, Bharat and Bharaitya culture.
Drawing a historical parallel, the Jagadguru remarked that just as the East India Company entered Bharat under the pretext of trade and eventually ruled the nation for nearly 200 years through deception, a similar threat has emerged today in the form of religious conversions and love jihad. He observed that while Bharat’s Ministry of Defence and military strength are now so formidable that no foreign power dares to attack the nation directly, attempts are being made to weaken the country from within by altering its demographic structure.
Spiritual discourse at Vedpathshala anniversary event
These remarks were made during an event marking the anniversary of Vedacharya Ghaisas Guruji Vedpathshala in Pune, where the Shankaracharya delivered a spiritual discourse on the Shrimad Bhagwat.
On this occasion, a delegation from the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and the Rashtrabhakta Adhivakta Samiti (a body of patriotic advocates), met the Shankaracharya and sought his guidance. He praised the initiatives of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, describing their work as exemplary and extending his blessings for their continued efforts.

Concerns over religious conversions
Jagadguru Shankaracharya further clarified that love jihad and religious conversions are not merely religious issues, but part of a long-term strategy for political dominance. He explained that systematically reducing the Hindu population while increasing the numbers of other communities is a calculated attempt to gain control of governance through future voting rights. He also pointed out how Christian missionaries are actively converting Hindus by offering inducements under the guise of social service.
To counter this conspiracy, the Shankaracharya strongly urged the Maharashtra Government and the Central Government to enact stringent anti-conversion laws, as well as a law against love jihad, on the lines of legislation passed in other states.

Shri. Nagesh Joshi of HJS presented Jagadguru Shankaracharya with a copy of the HJS’ publication titled ‘Love Jihad’, which the Shankaracharya subsequently displayed before the assembled gathering, acknowledging the seriousness of the issue highlighted in the publication.
Call for educating children about Hindu Dharma
Emphasizing the importance of education, Jagadguru Shankaracharya stated that just as minority communities have the freedom to impart religious education through madrasas and churches, Hindu students should also receive education about Hindu Dharma.
He appealed to the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Human Resource Development to make education about Hindu Dharma mandatory for Hindu students in both government and private schools. According to him, educating children in the knowledge and values of Hindu Dharma from an early age would protect them from ideological manipulation and conspiracies later in life.
Appeal for national unity and political will
Concluding his address, the Shankaracharya called upon all political parties, Chief Ministers, and patriotic organisations to acknowledge the seriousness of the issue and unite for the protection of the nation.
Formal blessings to Hindu Janajagruti Samiti
After reviewing the extensive work carried out by the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Shrimad Jagadguru Shankaracharya formally extended his blessings to the organisation.
“The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has my full blessings. They are performing exemplary work, and I am deeply heartened by their efforts. Continue to move forward in this mission. Do not hesitate to call upon me whenever my assistance is required,” he stated.
