Delhi – A clarion call was sounded once again today for the protection of Sanatan culture on the very same battlefield of Kurukshetra where, in the Dwapar Yuga, Lord Shri Krishna sounded the Panchajanya conch to destroy the unrighteous Kauravas and re-establish Dharma. Saints, seers and devout Hindus working in various fields across India gathered in the nation’s capital to restore Bharat’s original identity as a ‘Sanatan Rashtra’.

In the spiritually charged presence of saints and amidst the invigorating chants of “Jayatu Jayatu Hindurashtram”, this auspicious ceremony commenced on 13th December at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi, also known as Indraprastha. Organised by Sanatan Sanstha and presented by Save Culture Save Bharat Foundation, the festival, carrying the slogan “Dharmena Jayati Rashtram” (A nation triumphs through Dharma), witnessed devotees raising resounding slogans for the establishment of a Hindu Rashtra.
The ceremonial lamp was lit by distinguished dignitaries: Delhi’s Culture Minister Mr. Kapil Mishra, Mahamandaleshwar Swami Pujya Shantigiri Maharaj from Nashik (Maharashtra); Mr. Uday Mahurkar, Founder of Save Culture Save Bharat and former Union Information Commissioner, Mr. Suresh Chavhanke, Editor-in-Chief of Sudarshan News, Shrisatshakti (Mrs.) Binda Singbal and Shrichitshakti (Mrs.) Anjali Gadgil – the Spiritual Heirs of Dr. Sachchidanand Parabrahma Athavale, founder of Sanatan Sanstha, Sadguru Dr. Charudatta Pingale, National Guide of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and Mr. Abhay Vartak, National Spokesperson of Sanatan Sanstha.
How the Inaugural Ceremony Unfolded
The program began at 10:00 a.m. Initially, video recordings of the Sanatan Rashtra Shankhnaad Mahotsav held in Goa and ‘Sanatan Sanstha for a Blissful Life’ were screened. This was followed by a five-minute collective prayer to Bhagavan Shriram for the fulfilment of the resolve to establish a Sanatan Rashtra, along with collective the chanting of “Shri Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram. Thereafter, Mr. Shreyas Pisolkar, priest of the Sanatan Vedic School, sounded the conch. Chanting of hymns to Lord Shri Ganesh followed, after which the dignitaries lit the ceremonial lamp. The programme commenced withi invocations offered to Lord Shrikrushna – the deity of Dharma’s establishment, Shri Bhairavnath – the presiding and village deity of Indraprastha and Sachchidanand Parabrahma Dr. Athavale, founder of Sanatan Sanstha.
Acharya Mr. Nilesh Tripathi of Vedavyas Gurukulam, Vasant Kunj (Delhi), along with his disciples Mr. Ram Sharma and Mr. Vaibhav Pandey, recited Vedic chants from the dais. Mr. Chaitanya Tagde of Sanatan Sanstha honoured the Brahmamurtis with garlands, shawls, coconuts, and gifts.
The Divine relics of the Shri Somnath Jyotirlinga were then brought onto the stage for darshan, followed by a video showing complete ‘Vande Mataram’ scrolling, with all those who were present singing along collectively.

In 1026 CE, the ruthless invader Mahmud of Ghazni destroyed the Shri Somnath Temple in Gujarat, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and shattered the Somnath Shivlinga. The original Jyotirlinga was broken into several parts.
These sacred relics of the original Shri Somnath Jyotirlinga were preserved for over a thousand years by the family of Vedaprachara Ratna, Veda Kulapati, Shri G. K. Seetaraman of Tanjavur in Tamil Nadu.
These sacred relics were displayed publicly for darshan for the very first time at the Sanatan Rashtra Shankhnaad Mahotsav.
Shrisatshakti (Mrs.) Binda Singbal and Shrichitshakti (Mrs.) Anjali Gadgil offered worship to the sacred relics on the dais. Devotees raised their hands and chanted slogans such as “Har Har Mahadev!” and “Namah Parvatipate Har Har Mahadev!”
Release of the Book ‘Sankalp Ramrajyacha’ (Resolve for Ram Rajya)
On this occasion, dignitaries formally released the book ‘Sankalp Ramrajyacha’, A historic compilation of the divine moments of the first Sanatan Rashtra Shankhanad Mahotsav held in May 2025 in Goa. To date, Sanatan Sanstha has published 369 books in 13 languages, with over 10 million copies distributed so far.
Noteworthy Highlights
- On the occasion of 150 years of “Vande Mataram,” a video produced by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, was screened.
- During the collective singing of the complete “Vande Mataram,” many participants were moved to tears.
