Mumbai – A liquor party was held at Mumbai’s state-protected historical monument, Bandra Fort.
A video of the incident, showing liquor bottles and a party underway was shared on ‘X’ by Akhil Chitre of the Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray faction.

Local residents reached the spot with the police. When questioned, the organisers claimed they had permission to hold the party, but failed to produce any documents to support this, despite repeated requests by the police officer.
The incident has led the opposition to question how the administration could allow such an event at a protected heritage site.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis responded, stating, “I have not yet seen the video, but I have received information about it. If permission was indeed given for a party at Bandra Fort, action will be taken.”
