
Pune : A large-scale signature campaign was conducted across Pune district by the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti demanding that a law against Love Jihad be enacted in the State. The campaign was carried out from Ghatasthapana to Bhaubeej during Diwali and received an overwhelming response from all sections of society.
Public representatives, businessmen, priests, office-bearers of pro-Hindu organisations, women, and youth participated in large numbers. So far, more than 25000 citizens have signed and extended their support to this campaign.

A memorandum was presented to BJP MLA Yogesh (Anna) Tilekar, who stated, “I will personally discuss this issue with the Chief Minister and will take a firm and assertive stand on this matter.”

During the grand Purohit Melava organized by the Akhil Bharatiya Mahasangh and Pune Zilla Purohit Aghadi, Shri Devendra Shur, President of the ‘Sinhagad Road Vipra Sangh’ invited the Samiti to conduct the signature campaign.
Dr. G. B. Deglurkar (Iconography Scholar) and Shri Mohan Date (Panchangkarte) were briefed about the campaign and presented with the book ‘Love Jihad’. Both of them appreciated the initiative and expressed confidence that this law will soon be passed.
Resolutions passed in Gram Sabhas!
Some villages in Pune district have passed resolutions in their Gram Sabhas demanding the enactment of a law Against Love Jihad. Among these villages are Mohari Khurd (Taluka Bhor), Ozarde (Taluka Maval), and Urse (Taluka Maval), where villagers unanimously demanded to enact the Law against Love Jihad immediately!
In support of this demand, devout Hindus with the cooperation of local traders organised signature campaigns at the Sangha Shakha, Nanded City and Destination Center Mall.
During the Gad-darshan program organised at the Purandar Fort by devout Hindus from Kolwadi, a lecture was delivered on the topic ‘The Need for a Hindu Rashtra’, followed by a signature campaign. During the signature campaign, the men and women present raised slogans of ‘Jayatu Jayatu Hindurashtram!’ creating an atmosphere filled with patriotic fervour.

Lectures were organised on the occasion of Kojagiri Pournima at Sopandev Mahila Navratrotsav Mandal (Saswad), Shri Lakshmi Mata Mitra Mandal and Shri Renukadevi Mitra Mandal (Pargaon), where women participated with great enthusiasm.
At an event held at Ramakrishna More Hall, Chinchwad, Miss Monika Palhade shared her experience, saying, “I had once fallen into the trap of Love Jihad, but through spiritual practice I was able to come out of it safely. I am deeply grateful to Hindu Janajagruti Samiti for conducting such awareness campaigns in society.”
