Solapur: Every year on Kojagari Poornima, thousands of devotees undertake a long and demanding pilgrimage on foot to Tuljapur. In a compassionate effort to safeguard the health and wellbeing of these devotees, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti established a free medical aid facility at Ule (Taluka–South Solapur, District–Solapur). This initiative reflects the Samiti’s ongoing commitment to community healthcare and social responsibility.
The temporary facility offered first-aid services, addressing common issues such as exhaustion, dehydration, foot injuries, dizziness, and swelling. Dr. Sushma Mahamuni, along with health worker Mrs. Sneha Bhowar and trained volunteers Mrs. Girisha Vanmare, Mrs. Jayashree Kamble, and Mrs. Rajni Shrigandhi, provided assistance to the pilgrims. These volunteers were chosen from the Samiti’s free First Aid classes.

In addition to medical care, the centre also provided drinking water, resting cots, and guidance to travelers, ensuring they could continue their journey safely. The local administration has urged devotees to remain attentive to their health and make use of such aid facilities during the pilgrimage.
