Doctor who termed Hindus as Talibanis apologises

Had reacted to a news that woman in shorts was earlier denied entry into a temple

Hindu devotees at the police station in Jaysingpur to lodge a complaint

Jaysingpur (Kolhapur district), October 7 – Recently news portals carried a news that the priests of a temple here noticed that a woman was violating the dress code. Tthe temple security personnel then refused entry to the woman.

One Dr Ajit Birnale had reacted on his Facebook, saying, ‘Hindu Taliban, Rishis etc. roam around naked, is that okay?’. Incensed Hindus gathered at the Jaysingpur police station and demanded that a case be registered against Dr. Birnale. The police inspector then summoned Dr Birnale who was taken to task by the Hindus. Dr. Birnale admitted his mistake, apologised and deleted the Facebook post.

Mr Mahendra Singh Rajput of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Mr Bhagwantrao Jambhale, Kolhapur Vice President of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, Mr Sunil Tade of BJP, Mr Nirmal Porwal of the Traders’ Association, Mr Raju Gadivadar of Shri Shiv Pratishthan Hindustan, Mr Ajit Pawar of Sakal Hindu Samaj, Mr Sanjay Ghatge of Maharashtra Mandir Mahasangh and others were present.
