Indore : BJP MLA agitates against love jihad, says garba venues should only allow Hindus

Indore (Madhya Pradesh) : The agitation of a BJP MLA from Indore in Madhya Pradesh against the notion of 'love jihad' has triggered a huge row.

BJP MLA Usha Thakur has urged Garba organisers in Indore city to allow patrons entry only after checking the person's Voter ID card.

Thakur alleged that certain people enter the garba venue pretending to be Hindus and indulge in 'wrong activities'.

"This is love jihad," said Thakur, adding, "nearly 4.50 lakh Hindu girls got converted after Navratra. Some people enter the Garba venue with 'tilak' on their forehead and indulge in wrong activities."
