‘Shree Ram Swabhiman Parishad’ had demanded the hoarding’s removal

Kolkata (WB) – A large hoarding put up by Ayaat Restaurant in Kolkata displayed an image of Goddess Durga with non-vegetarian biryani placed before her. This hurt the sentiments of devout Hindus. Ayaat Restaurant was allegedly using this hoarding for its own promotion. After Shree Ram Swabhiman Parishad submitted a written complaint to Kolkata Police, the authorities promptly took action and removed the hoarding on 11th September.
Mr Suraj Kumar Singh, founder president of Shree Ram Swabhiman Parishad and a staunch devout Hindu leader, requested the Police to warn the restaurant owners against actions that offend the sentiments of devout Hindus.

‘This success was possible only by God’s grace, despite being ruled under an ideologically hostile government’ : Suraj Kumar Singh
Speaking to Sanatan Prabhat about the matter, Suraj Kumar Singh said, ‘The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti drew our attention to several hoardings in the Raja Ghat area of Kolkata that denigrated Goddess Durga. After verifying the matter, we filed a Police complaint and gave the authorities a 24-hour ultimatum to act. The Police cooperated and took action. By God’s grace, even though we are under a government opposed to our ideology, Hindu unity has achieved this success.
This is the success of Hindu unity: Hindu Janajagruti Samiti
Commenting on the issue, Shambhu Gavare, East and Northeast India coordinator of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, said, ‘This attempt by Ayaat Restaurant is highly condemnable. Shree Ram Swabhiman Parishad, a member organisation of the Hindu Rashtra Coordination Committee, took note of the incident and strongly opposed it. With the special cooperation of the Police, this success was achieved. It is a victory for Hindu unity. On this occasion, I congratulate the Parishad, Mr Suraj Kumar Singh, and all their volunteers. Whenever Hindu religious sentiments are hurt in West Bengal, Hindus must unitedly oppose it in this way. This is our sacred duty.

Editorial Perspective
- Congratulations to Shree Ram Swabhiman Parishad for defending Hindu Dharma! In Bengal, which is steadily moving towards becoming like Bangladesh, protecting Hindu Dharma is a great challenge. Devout Hindus across India must make united efforts to support devout Hindu activists in Bengal.
- If such an incident had occurred regarding any other religion, the Mamata Banerjee Government, Congress leaders, Communists, and others would have created a huge uproar. Why are they silent now? Hindus must question them!
