Hindu Janajagruti Samiti holds self-defense training camp in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, August 1 (News) – Women and girls face many adverse situations today. The issue of women’s safety looms over the society. Women should be empowered to protect themselves and develop an aggressive mentality and determination among them. With these aims in mind Hindu Janajagruti Samiti organised a self-defense training camp – ‘Radayche Nahi Ladhyache’ (Don’t cry, fight!) at Ranjangaon in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.

80 young women from Ranjangaon area enthusiastically participated in this camp. The purpose of the camp was explained by Mr Baliram Gaikwad of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti. Mrs Suvarna Nikam guided on the ‘Greatness of Hindu Dharma’. Ms Chaitali Dubey of Sanatan Sanstha spoke on ‘Current status of women and measures for self-protection’.

Mr Krishna Gavhad and Mr Baliram Gaikwad of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti presented self-defense demonstrations. After that the participants were taught simple methods of self-defense. The general sentiment was that the attendees learned many news things, received new informations and also boosted their confidence.
