MANS activists who deny the existence of God join the Ashadhi procession under the guise of ‘Samvidhan Samata Dindi’!

  • People who deny the physical ascent of Sant Tukaram Maharaj to Vaikuntha will participate in the Palkhi procession of Sant Tukaram Maharaj!

  • Some former participants in ‘Samvidhan Samata Dindi’ have been booked for participating in Naxal activities!

Pune : MANS activists, who have consistently slandered Hindu Gods, Saints and places of worship, and also do not accept the existence of God, have joined the Ashadhi-Ekadashi procession under the deceptive name of ‘Samvidhan Samata Dindi’.

‘Samvidhan Samata Dindi’ brochure

MANS activists who deny the physical ascent of Jagadguru Sant Tukaram Maharaj to Vaikuntha and also deny the miracle of Sant Tukaram’s gathas floating on water have participated in the Palkhi procession of Sant Tukaram Maharaj. To mask their hypocrisy, these atheist and pseudo-progressive groups have adopted the ‘Samvidhan Samata Dindi’ banner. Cases have also been filed against some of those who have previously participated in ‘Samvidhan Samata Dindi’ for their Naxal activities.

‘Samvidhan Samata Dindi’ has circulated a pamphlet about their participation in the Dindi from Pune to Pandharpur between June 21 to July 6, 2025. Most of the names projected as as ‘organisers’ on this pamphlet are MANS activists, while some are connected to MANS. Notably, MANS office bearers and activists are promoting ‘Samvidhan Samata Dindi’ on social media. A few days ago, the self-styled kirtanakar Balkrishna Vasant Gadkar raised questions about the story of Sant Tukaram Maharaj’s physical ascent to Vaikuntha, as well as the story of Sant Tukaram Maharaj’s writings drowned in the Indrayani river floating. Balkrishna Gadkar is associated with MANS. Like him, there is a group of self proclaimed Hari Bhakti Parayans associated with MANS participating in the ‘Samvidhan Samata Dindi’. They use the Abhangs composed by Saints to twist their meaning and further the agenda of atheism.

MANS activists tried to paint the Vari as a superstition

When the Congress alliance was in power in the state, the then MANS president Dr. Narendra Dabholkar started efforts in 2004 to bring an Anti Superstition Law. The draft bill was approved by the Congress with the help of Dr. Dabholkar. The bill included a clause to declare an act that causes ‘physical, financial and mental’ anguish as superstition. Varkaris go to Pandharpur on foot, causing physical exertion. MANS deliberately included this clause in the bill with this fact in mind. Miracles were also called superstitions. Therefore, the Abhang of Jagadguru Sant Tukaram Maharaj floating Indrayani, the great saint Dnyaneshwar Mauli making a buffalo recite the, and making a wall travel, all came under the ambit of superstition. Therefore, all the Varkaris, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and all Hindu organisations launched a statewide agitation against this law. Therefore, the government had to remove these objectionable clauses from this bill. The same MANS activists who once failed to attack the faith of the Varkaris through this law are plotting to do this work by participating in the Vari.

Ban MANS for its Naxal links! – Hindu Janajagruti Samiti

Before renaming their organisation as Maharashtra Andhashraddha Nirmulan Samiti, MANS activists were working under the name ‘Maharashtra Manavi Nastik Manch’. Since they did note receive a good response from the common man, these atheist groups adopted the deceptive ‘Andhashraddha Nirmulan Samiti’ name. This name change did not stop their scams and corruption from coming to light. Last month, their activist was caught in Naxal activities in Dongaon in Raigad district. Earlier, MANS activists who were involved in Naxal activities have been arrested in Gondia and Nagpur.

Mr Sunil Ghanwat, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh state organiser of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has demanded that the government should ban this organisation for its Naxal links and the covert work of its activists as Urban Naxals.

Editorial perspective

  • The government should immediately take strict action against those who are trying to turn naive Varkaris into atheists by misleading them! All Varkaris and Hindu organisations, as well as Hindus in political parties, should follow up till this is achieved.
  • All Hindus should unite now and legally oppose those who are attacking the very roots of Hindu Dharma.
  • Hindus should be educated in Dharma and increase pride in Dharma to avoid falling prey to such anti-Dharmik propaganda.
  • Do such anti-Dharmik people ever participate in the religious programmes of other religions in such a deceptive manner? Hindus have a right to question them!
